I am a native of Southern West Virginia. I grew up in a small farming community in Greenville, WV. After high school I entered the apprenticeship program of plumbers and steamfitters local union 521, in Hunington, WV. After becoming a building and trades journeyman in 1979, I worked in the Nuclear power field for several years. I first came to Barrow County in the early 1980’s and settled here permanently in the mid 80’s. After leaving the construction field I joined Rhodia Chemical Co. in 1990 as a maintance technician and have been employed there ever since.
My, wife, Susan and I were married in June of 2000. She is employed at Spine Care and Pain Management in Athens, GA. I have 4 children and 4 stepchildren and 5 grandchildren. I have been involved with many community activities such as Relay for Life, Barrow County Chamber of Commerce, Partners in Education with Holsenbeck Elementary School, Winder Barrow Community Theater, and local festivals. Susan and I are active members in our local church. She teaches Sunday School and is involved with the Ladies Fellowship. I am involved with Men’s fellowship and our youth program. We look forward to many more years in Barrow County, working with our friends and neighbors to improve our community.
